Brand & positioning

If a stranger cannot tell what you do, who it is for, and why you are different in five seconds, nothing else you spend on marketing works as hard as it should.

A cartoon branding iron flexing, labeled Brand.

In plain English

Positioning is a fancy word for a simple decision: who are you for, what do you do for them, and why should they pick you instead of the next guy. Branding is how that decision looks and sounds.

Most businesses never write that decision down, so every ad, post and web page says something slightly different. We pin it down, then turn it into words and a look you can actually use.

What's in it

  • A short conversation about your business, your best customers, and what makes you different

  • A positioning statement in plain English that you can say out loud

  • Core messaging: your headline, your short pitch, and the proof that backs them up

  • Voice and tone guidance, so everything you publish sounds like one person

  • Visual direction: color, type and a simple set of rules for using them

  • A one-page guide you can hand to anyone who touches your marketing

What it isn't

Being straight about the edges is how you avoid surprises later.

  • A logo contest or a pile of random options. You get a considered direction, not a lottery.
  • Legal trademark clearance. We will flag the risk, but that is a job for a trademark professional.
  • Ongoing content production. That lives in Content & social.

How it works

  1. Talk

We learn your business, your customers, and what is frustrating you about how you come across now.

  2. Decide

We make the positioning decision with you and write it down in plain language.

  3. Build

We turn it into messaging, voice and a visual direction.

  4. Hand over

You get the guide, the files and a walkthrough, and it is yours to keep.

Fair questions

Do I need a rebrand?

Not always. Sometimes the fix is sharper words, not a new logo. We will tell you which one you need before you spend money on the wrong thing.

How long does it take?

It depends on how much there is to untangle, so we scope it up front and give you a timeline in writing.

Can you work with the brand I already have?

Yes. A lot of good brand work is clearing out what is not working and keeping what is.

Less talk. More done.
